Step 3. The scan time depends on your device storage. If it has never been cleaned before, the scan time can be a bit longer. In the scan results, you can check the total space that can be reclaimed.

Click Clean button alongside Junk Files to quickly remove all junk files.

Part 2: Clean Temporary Files to Free Up Storage

iOS apps create temporary files during their operation. These temporary files are rarely used afterwards; however, these temp files in your iPhone or iPad can slow down your device a lot. So it is important to remove these temporary files to free up storage and improve performance.

Step 1. Launch iCareFone, and connect your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch to computer with USB cable.

Step 2. Choose Speedup & Clean to enter main interface of this feature. It records your last scan calendar and total space released. Click Quick Scan button to initiate a new scan of connected device.

Step 3. The scan process takes less than one minute. In the scan results, you can check the total space that can be reclaimed.

Step 4. Click Clean button alongside Temporary Files. iCareFone will remove the temporary files with 1 click only.

Part 3: Lossless Backup & Compress/Delete Photos

Step 4. Click “Clean” in Photos, and you will see two options.

About Backup & Compress

This way will back up original photos in your iOS device to a specified backup folder on computer, and then compress these photos without quality loss. This will reduce image size and thus free up more storage.

After lossless compression, you can check the total space that has been released. And if you want to check the original photos, just click “Open Backup Folder”.

About Backup & Delete

This option will allow you to specify photos to back up to local computer and then remove them from the device to free up storage.

Click Backup & Delete button, in the next window, you can pick up photos for backup and click Start button.

Confirm your choice before the process starts.

Once you confirm the action, iCareFone begins deleting the selected photos.

After the process completes, you can check the total space that has been released. If you accidently deleted photos that you do not want, just click “Open Backup Folder” to recover.

Part 4: Find and Delete Large Files on iPhone, iPad

You may notice that your iPhone is always lack of storage though you have already cleaned all of the obvious files. This might be because there are large videos/audio files that are eating up the storage. Use iCareFonen to find and delete large files on iPhone, iPad to release more storage.

Step 1. Launch iCareFone, and connect your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch to computer with USB cable.

Step 4. Click Clean button in Large Files, and iCareFone lists big files that are eating up most of your device’s storage. Most of these file are videos and audio files.

Step 5. Pick up these big files and click “Backup & Delete”. This will back up these files to local computer and then remove them from your device. Thus you will get more available space for other data.

Step 6. After this process, your device will free up large amount of storage. In the future when you need these large files, just click “Open Backup Folder”.

Part 5: Delete Unwanted Apps on iOS Device

Having hundreds of apps in iPhone/iPad can take up a big part of total storage. Actually you may only use a few apps, and most of these apps have not been opened for a long time. Deleting the unwanted apps will reclaim some iPhone storage and extend battery life as the background app refresh will accelerate battery usage.

Step 4. Click the green Clean button alongside Apps, iCareFone lists all apps on your device.

Step 5. Tick one app or multiple apps that you want to remove, and click Uninstall button locates on the lower right bottom.
